Cross-Stitch and Me!

I've been doing cross-stitch every since I was little, but I mostly just did very small ones, like the kinds you get in shops like The Works. On top of this, I didn't really know about any of the general "rules" about cross-stitch, and I mostly just did it based on vibes.

I only got really into cross-stitch in Summer 2024. My great-aunt was really into cross-stitch, and would do HUGE complex pieces that would take her ages, but unfortunately, due to arthritis in her hands, as well as dementia affecting her concentration, she couldn't do them anymore.

2024 was also the year she had to go into a nursing home, and so we had to clean out her flat. My nana ended up finding a bunch of giant cross-stitch kits, and since I had recently graduated uni and had a lot of free time, the rest was history!
